Hawaii: Winter 2012

A Taste of Aloha on Oahu

Lee, Lars, Ian, Rick, Paul, PMac, Natalie, and myself all spent varying amounts of time in Jan/Feb in Hawaii and this year the flying was hampered somewhat by strong trade winds. That being said, here's a summary:

- Lee arrived the earliest and flew Makapu'u, Diamond Head, Kahana, and Nanakuli!

- Lars got a handful of flights at Kahana but didn't get the Makapu'u experience he was after!

- Ian was happy just to get away from it all and ended up with flights from Kahana, Makapu'u, and the rarely flown Makua!

- Rick, Paul, and PMac all had great flights at Kahana with bay crossings and attempts. They also flew Lanikai during a nice window (PMac's first time!)

- Natalie had a sleddie from Makapu'u and then a couple of nice long flights at Kahana

Me? I had some nice flights from Makapu'u (took my brother Ryan for a tandem on one, landing at Sandy's) and a couple of down-rangers to Pounders from Kahana.

If this rain keeps up, I'll be forced to stop procrastinating and actually edit some of the GoPro video footage I took.

Our spring flying season is just around the corner. Really!
