An early start was the right call today with Lee, Cal, P.Mac, David, Charlie, Greg and I all converging on the LZ at 9:30am (okay, okay, this is not early if you are a surfer but this is paragliding!).

Wind was pretty steady and straight in on Middle launch and everyone got in the air safely. After clocking close to 2hrs yesterday in the company of a couple of HGer pilots, Charlie was first in the air today and wasted little time before climbing up over the cairn.

P.Mac and David both were able to link up some 360s and grins abounded in the LZ when I drove down with Greg for retrieve.

After getting everyone safely off, Greg and I went tandem and were soon looking across a thermal at Charlie, coring the lift and climbing together near the cairn.

Greg captured a bit of it on video here:

After taking in the views over the back of the mountain, we both flew out to the LZ, where Charlie gave Greg a show as he spiraled down below us.

One more time!
P.Mac, David, and Cal each got another flight in (3 for a Para-trick) and it was their longest one of the day. P.Mac went first and I guided him through more 360s and figure-8s and David followed, flying straight into a fat thermal just out front of Middle, where he spent the next 15mins making his way up above launch height!

Charlie took some videos of their last flights that you can find here:

When then spent some time at the Training Hill where Greg and Nathaniel got some kiting in and flight or two before the gust front hit.
