Roman from Switzerland![]()
Bev had one flight where she lifted off from the top of the hill and gained the most height to date, requiring multiple turns to stay in the landing field below. Maurice also found himself needing multiple turns but still he didn't lose much height, necessitating an over-the-fence landing! After between 8-10 flights each, we headed to Dallas Road in Victoria where Phil and Charlie were flying (turns out they had been for hours already). The wind was a bit too strong for beginner kiting so I took out the Airwave ALPINE speed glider and demonstrated various kill techniques. Although the wind was pretty west, I was able to take both Roman and then Johnny for their first Dallas tandems. Thanks for the ground support Charlie!

What started out as a PMac 'Swan Glide' launch on my first flight at the training hill today ended up as a Toboggan Ride half-way down the hill. It polished the buttons on my green shirt, left grass stains on my pants and bruised the old ego! So, toboggan rides are not Cool, but over the electric fence, on the last flight, was really Hot.
