Super Summed Up Report:

Friday, August 21st
We left on the first ferry Friday morning and grabbed Mark in Tsawwassen en route. We being: Johnny, Lee, Linda, P.Mac, Rick, and Charlie. Arrived in Vernon and unloaded some gear, hooked up with David and Hans and continued to Mara Lake LZ. Too gusty so we decided to rest up for tomorrow.
Picked up Natalie at the airport in Kelowna. Serious delays.

Saturday, August 22nd
Simon met us in the LZ and everyone got their first flights in from Coopers with Charlie and Mark (first flight on his new Airwave SPORT 4) managing to stay up. David had to leave for a wedding as we headed up for another flight. Mark had an arboreal encounter (ended very well), P.Mac earned the new nickname, 'Slalom', everyone else had gooClick image for more photos!Click image for more photos!d flights in more challenging conditions than on their morning flights.

Off to Mara Lake where it was strong and crossing south (forest fire smoke over in Salmon Arm (?) showed the direction nicely). We waited a bit and then Rick and Charlie got in the air and buzzed launch. Simon and Lee were next and they all got up and away to the south. Waited more and then everyone else got airborne with Johnny being last and actually having to do a no-winder!
